Hello Tidal Waves Families!

Add any parents and guardians that you would like to receive team communications. We will be using SwimTopia to communicate with the team.

Payment must be made by credit card during online registration.

Ages 5-14: 1st Swimmer $175; additional swimmers in same family $150

Ages 15-18: All swimmers $75

See below for some other important updates (copied from my email a couple of weeks ago).

Thanks! Dana

March 23, 6-7 PM - New Swimmer Parent Meeting at Wyndham Clubhouse We will be hosting an informational meeting with the coaches and board members for all families who have questions about the Tidal Waves. Please help us spread the word to new families in the neighborhood! You must be a member of the WSRC to join the team which includes residents of Wyndham and Millstone families that have joined the pool.

April 26, 2-4 PM - New Swimmer Evaluations at NOVA (new location) Swimmers must be 5 years old as of June 1, 2026 to join the team. Every new swimmer must be evaluated by the coaches for team placement. Swimmers who cannot complete a length of the pool or who are not yet ready for competitive meets will either be placed on the MicroWaves (former Development team) or recommended for additional swim lessons. A sign up sheet is available on our website under New Parent Resources.

April 29, 5-7 PM - Swim Suit Fitting and Season Kick Off at Wyndham Clubhouse Come meet the coaches and get fitted for a team suit. We will have the same swimsuits as last year. Suits, goggles, and caps will be available for purchase.

Monday, May 18 - After School Practices Begins See attached flyer or www.wtwswim.com for a detailed practice and meet schedule.

Champs Meet Schedule: GRAL recently changed the schedule to have 10 and unders on Saturday, July 19 and 11 and up on Sunday July 20.

Certified Officials Needed: If you have considered training to be a Strokes and Turns official or other Certified Official including Clerk of Course, Table Worker, Referee or Starter, please contact Beth Ehrensberger at [email protected]. We have a huge need for Strokes and Turns officials this year! Being a Strokes and Turns official gives you the best view of swimmers and volunteering for any of these roles fulfills your volunteer requirement. You don’t have to be a swimming expert—you’ll learn what you need to know through the training.

Sponsorship Opportunities: Did you know that our swim team is entirely self-funded? Our registration fees only cover a portion of our expenses each season. If you work for a generous employer or know someone who can support our team, please ask them to pledge their support. Sponsorships are $250 and you will be recognized on our website, on our team banner, and at each home meet. Thank you to those who continue to sponsor our team each year!

Time Drops Automated Timing System: Our team is considering purchasing a new timing system that will streamline the timing and data entry for meets which would speed up our meets and reduce volunteer needs. We are looking for a volunteer to support this system at home meets. If you are interested, please reach out!

Sound System Person Needed: We purchased a new sound system a couple years ago and we would love for someone to take on the role of setting up the system for each of our three home meets, monitoring it throughout the meet, and assisting with taking it down at the end of meets. This would fulfill your volunteer shifts for the season. If you or you know someone that may be interested, please reach out!
