MicroWaves Team (formerly Development Team)
We believe it’s more fun to learn in a low-stress environment. That’s why our youngest swimmers first participate as members of our MicroWaves team. Prospective swimmers will first be evaluated by the coaching staff in a pre-season session to ensure that swimmers can safely swim across a length of the pool. This isn’t the time to worry about stroke perfection! It’s simply a chance to make sure swimmers can stay safe in the water during practice. After a swimmer has been offered a spot on the team, they will practice with their appropriate age group. Instead of swimming on a regular Wednesday night meet, MicroWaves swimmers will swim in a Mini Meet.
Mini Meets
These Saturday morning meets are designed for younger swimmers who may not be ready for Wednesday meets. Wednesday night meets can be overwhelming for new and young swimmers. Mini meets usually start at 8:00 am and run for about 1 hour. It’s geared for low stress, fun atmosphere and minimal crowd. It’s great way to get started and build confidence for the regular meets, which at the discretion of the coaches, will likely be asked to participate in by the last half of the season.
2026 Mini Meet Schedule:
June 6 - 8 am
June 20 - 8 am
