Hello Tidal Waves!

I am excited for another year with the team as head coach! Summer league swim is something I look towards with anticipation every summer, and this year is no exception.

I continue to swim NOVA Masters, have coached four years at JRT, and am wrapping up my fifth year teaching chemistry there. I have been with the Tidal Waves since I was a kid and am so fortunate to get to return each year. I am happier than ever at Tucker!

I can’t wait to meet the new families and see the familiar faces—it should be a fun summer with an awesome assistant coaching staff!

Hi, I'm Greg Panos and this will be my third season as a Wyndham Tidal Waves coach. I swam for the Tidal Waves for 12 seasons. I also swam at NOVA for ten years, and my favorite events are the 50 and 100 butterfly. I'm currently finishing my sophomore year at Virginia Tech where I'm studying finance and real estate. I've also competed with the club swim team. I'm excited for another great season with the Tidal Waves!

Hi Tidal Waves! My name is Gabby Carvalho and this is my second year as a Tidal Waves coach and my 9th year on the team! I'm a rising senior at Collegiate and swim there as well. I have swam at NOVA for 9 years and am currently in Senior Gold. My favorite stroke to swim is backstroke and my favorite events are 100 back and 200 back! In my free time, I love to hangout with friends and tan when I can! I am so excited to have a great season!!!

Hi, my name is Ben Ehrensberger and I am excited for this to be my first season as a Wyndham Tidal Waves coach! I have been a Tidal Wave since I was 5 years old, and a swimmer for NOVA since I was 8. I am currently in the Senior Gold group at NOVA, and my favorite events are the 50 and 100 freestyle. I am a rising senior at Deep Run High School and I also swim for the Deep Run swim team. In my free time I like to go fishing and hang out with friends. I am looking forward to an exciting season with the Tidal Waves!

Hi Tidal Waves! My name is Sophia Ng. This is my first year as a Tidal Waves coach and my first year on the team! I’m so excited to be part of this amazing community.

I just finished my senior year at Godwin High School, and I’ll be heading off to Davidson College this fall. I’ve been swimming with NOVA for nearly 10 years and am currently in Senior Gold. My favorite stroke is breaststroke, and my favorite event is the 200 breast!

Outside of the pool, I’m a huge bookworm and love going on runs with my friends. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and having a fun season together!
